Jason Pesamoska is beginning his seventh year as principal at West Maple Elementary after serving for three years as the assistant principal. He began his career teaching kindergarten at Bingham Farms Elementary and Beverly Elementary in BPS and moved on to teach first grade at Harlan Elementary before coming to West Maple. For the next seven years Mr. Pesamoska taught grades 3-5 at West Maple until becoming the assistant principal in 2015. In addition to his duties as principal, Jason serves on many District Committees and coordinates the Elementary District Science Olympiad for BPS.
Jason has earned a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Wayne State University and holds a Bachelors Degree in K-8 General Education with a specialized endorsement in Early Childhood Education. Jason and his wife currently have two children, Charlotte and Elijah, who keep them busy and always smiling. As a family, they enjoy spending time at their family property Up North and playing with their Golden Retriever Daphne, St Bernard Maisy, and school therapy dog, Luna.
